Keeping Seniors Active
:
The City of Gretna as part of its commitment to Keep Seniors Active conducts bi-weekly (2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month) activities at the Helen Franks Community Building located 14833 Main Street Gretna. The program is open to the public. The goal of the program is to help keep persons over the age of 55 active both mentally and physically.

Through the use of the Helen Franks Community Building, seniors are provided catered meals, activities to include exercise classes, games, crafts, and education and awareness about resources available to enable them to have a full active life. Classes are taught by volunteer instructors. Special events offered each month range from holiday celebrations to live entertainment performances by local artists, lectures, and instructors.
